Micronizing mill with dynamic selector switch

These mills are equipped with a high-speed vertical-axis rotor on which a number of suitably shaped hammers are rigidly mounted.
Grinding occurs by impact against a toothed armor and by rubbing between layers of material.
Discharge of the ground product is pneumatic, upward, through a dynamic air separator mounted at the top of the mill.
The dynamic microselector with a special cage allows fines up to 99% below 20 microns with high content of fine particles below 5 microns.
The fraction of product discarded by the microseparator falls back into the mill where it is further ground.
The separator is driven by variable speed control independent of that of the mill. It is therefore possible to adjust the fineness over a wide range easily. The particle size distribution is also related to the speed of the mill and the air flow through it.

The air drawn through the mill can be heated to dry moist products, or refrigerated to treat heat-sensitive products.
For any products subject to explosion hazards, the circuit must be properly inerted.
