Micronizer mill with air selector switch

These mills are equipped with a vertical-axis rotor rotating at high speed, on which are rigidly mounted vertical pegs or hammers of appropriate shape.
Grinding is done by impact against a smooth or toothed armor and by rubbing between layers of material.
Discharge of the ground product is pneumatically upward through a dynamic tundish separator.

The construction with coaxial rotor and selector shafts, mounted on suitable bearings, ensures greater compactness and ease of installation.
The dynamic microselector, with its special tundish and baffle ring geometry, allows finenesses up to 99% below 30 microns with average diameter d50 adjustable in the range of 2-20 microns, with concentrated particle size distribution in a narrow range.

Adjustment is achieved by varying the speed of the selector and thesuction through the mill, choosing the optimum speed for the grinding rotor.
The fraction of product discarded by the separator falls back into the grinding zone, allowing a single product to be obtained from the machine at the desired fineness.

Thehigh air (or other gas)flow and special geometry of the mill reduce heat transfer to the product, compared to other types of machines.

The air drawn through the mill can be chilled to process heat-sensitive products.
