Pulverizer with peg mill
The Contrarotor C60 peg mill is designed for fine grinding of low abrasive materials such as calcium carbonate, grains, chemicals and foodstuffs, even with minimal percentages of fats and oils. Its double counter-rotating rotor configuration ensures high pulverization efficiency combined with consistent and uniform yield.
The machine body is made of cast iron (also available in stainless steel upon request). One of the two covers is attached to the body and has a 130×260 mm loading opening; the other is hinged to allow quick and complete opening during maintenance operations.
The two externally mounted, counter-rotating rotors have a diameter of 630 mm and are equipped with heat-treated and easily replaceable pegs:
A peg rotor arranged in 3 rows (max speed: 2900 rpm),
A peg rotor in 2 rows (max speed: 3300 rpm).
The shafts rotate on sealed, grease-lubricated ball and roller bearings. The machine is designed for belt drive with two electric motors of 45 kW each, complete with pulleys, motor supports (one with slides, one with bracket on hinged cover) and belt guard.
